The “Global Foundation for Democracy and Development” Celebrates the 100th Edition of its Iconic “Global” Magazine

On Wednesday, October 31, the Dominican diaspora in the United States celebrated one of the most important events in the world of literature, education and society.

The Global Democracy and Development Foundation, along with its sister Foundation, the “Global Foundation for Democracy and Development” celebrated in style the 100th edition of its unique “Global” magazine.

The event was attended by important personalities from the business sector, community leaders, academics and students. It took place at the Dominican Alliance, situated in Washington Heights, in the borough of Manhattan. This community is considered the heart of the Dominican diaspora in the United States.

The event was led by the Executive Director of the Global Foundation in the United States, Rodolfo Fuertes, and was co-hosted by Paul Goris, who interacted with the invited panelists.

“Global” magazine has transcended borders, and is the flagship brand of the Global Foundation. Through its articles on art, academia, poetry, politics, and other topics such as issues relating to the national and international sphere, the magazine has become one of the most comprehensive magazines in the Dominican Republic, and one of the most widely distributed in Latin America.

“Global” magazine is available in both print and digital formats. Another plus is that it is also available in multiple languages, making it one of the most prestigious and important magazines worldwide.

The event was chaired by the team of the “Global Foundation for Democracy and Development”, with Mr. Rudy Fuertes at the helm. Likewise, Graciano Gaillard, Paul Goris and Manuel Medrano, also participated in the event.
