“Orgullo de mi Tierra: Descubre Puerto Plata” to be Presented in New York City in Collaboration with GFDD

Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), in collaboration with the Puerto Plata Tourism Cluster (Clúster del Destino Turístico Puerto Plata), the Asociación de Puertoplateños en Nueva York, Centro Cuesta Nacional (CCN) and its renowned initiative Orgullo
de mi Tierra, will present the documentary “Descubre Puerto Plata” (Discover Puerto Plata) on Saturday, November 1st, 2014 at Symphony Space 2537 Broadway at 95th Street, New York, NY 10025. The screening is scheduled to start at 6:00pm.

“Descubre Puerto Plata” is a 47 minutes documentary production by CCN’s Orgullo de mi Tierra initiative, recreating religious
believes, folkloric expressions, cultural diversity, architecture, history and gastronomic richness of Puerto Plata, also known as “la novia del Atlántico” (Atlantic’s [ocean] bride).

With this presentation, GFDD contributes to the promotion of the Dominican natural richness, culture and heritage in the United States and beyond.
