Join GFDD in a Musical Celebration of the 70th Anniversaries of CoNGO and UDHR

September 7, 2018

The 70th anniversary celebrations of the Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations (CoNGO) and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) will feature a free concert by the Carr-Petrova Duo in New York City. GFDD is among the organizers of this particular event and encourages all interested to attend.

The support of this concert is part of ongoing collaboration between CoNGO and GFDD carried out
since 2014, when GFDD became a board member and Secretary of the organization. In March 2018 GFDD participated in CoNGO’s 26th General Assembly meeting, which celebrated the 70th year anniversary of the organization and also featured musical performance. At that meeting GFDD was also reelected to the position of Secretary.

The focus of this performance is human rights and dignity of migrants and refugees. It will also celebrate the work of the UN system, its
member states and NGOs working in the field of human rights, migration and refugees. The Carr-Petrova Duo will also speak about their Novel Voices project- a year-long initiative which uses Music and Film to bring comfort, connection and empowerment to refugees around the world.

Admission to the event is free, but you must register beforehand to attend.
