InteRDom Forms Key Relationship with City College’s Dominican Student Association

On Thursday, April 2 InteRDom traveled to the City College of New York to give a unique information session.  Hosted by the Dominican Student Association (DSA), the College’s only student-run club specifically for Dominicans and students of Dominican heritage, the information session was among the first in which InteRDom has participated that was completely organized and led by
students. 

The DSA’s president, Yanil Rosario, was a key figure in helping to execute the event, which featured a 30-minute presentation, a short video and refreshments.  Afterward, InteRDom team members spoke to students about their experiences in and impressions of the Dominican Republic, and ways in which they can develop their
careers abroad. 

The information session was open not only to student members of the DSA, but to the entire City College student body.  InteRDom applauds the efforts of City College’s Dominican Student Association, and encourages other student groups to organize information sessions and cultural events that involve their campus communities.

The InteRDom Internships is an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE).
