GMAI in Collaboration with EICTV Will Offer Workshop on Adobe Encore

The Global Media Arts Institute (GMAI), an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), will be offering a workshop on Adobe Encore in collaboration with Escuela Internacional de Cine
y TV (EICTV) in Cuba. The workshop will be held September 14-18, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at FUNGLODE Headquarters in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
 
The objective of the course is to train students on how to create DVDs or Bluerays using Adobe or Final Cut Studio applications. Core concepts explored during the workshop will
include: creation and importation of projects; creation of menus; development of timelines; use of audio and subtitles; establishment of links; and product development.
 
Course instruction will be provided by Professor Jorge Mochón. Professor
Mochón has degrees in Photography and Audiovisual Imaging and Postproduction and Promotion. He has taught courses at a number of educational institutions, among them: Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV (EICTV – International School of Film and Television) (Cuba), Universidad Cardenal Herrera (Spain), Escuela Politécnica Superior de Gandía (Higher Polytechnic School of Gandía) (Spain) and Universitat Jaume Primer (Spain).
GMAI is dedicated to providing up-and-coming professionals in the television and film industry with comprehensive instruction in the latest trends in audiovisual production, as part of its overall mission
to expand the multimedia industry of the Dominican Republic. The Institute seeks to play a key role in the development of a highly qualified Dominican audiovisual industry that significantly contributes to the economic development, competitiveness and modernization of the nation.
 
GMAI regularly offers introductory, intermediate and advanced courses. It also organizes events that promote greater understanding of the media arts, such as conferences, screenings and interviews with filmmakers.
