Global Foundation for Democracy and Development Launches 2007 Annual Report

Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) has just published its 2007 Annual Report, which features all the projects, initiatives and achievements realized by the institution, sister foundation of Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) in the United States, during the past year.
With its modern design and easy to read format, the publication, realized by an international
multi-disciplinary team, led by GFDD Executive Director and FUNGLODE Vice President, Natasha Despotovic, recaps the projects GFDD programs carried out, such as the Global Media Arts Institute (GMAI), the internship program, InteRDom, Portal Dominicanaonline.org, and the Dominican Republic Global Film Festival (DRGFF). It also highlights the initiatives realized by the Foundation in the area of publications and multimedia, which include the launch of the book, Dominican Republic: New Perspectives and the DRGFF website nomination for the Oscars of
the Internet.

Moreover, the publication features the most outstanding collaborative initiatives and achievements accomplished such as: The International Center for Environmental and Sustainable Development Studies (CIEMADeS); Virtual Educa and Virtual Educa Caribe; The Coral Garden Project in the Dominican Republic; and the United Nations Association of the Dominican Republic (UNA-DR), and joint
projects with organizations like the United Nations and the Organization of American States (OAS).
