GFDD to Participate in Annual International Development Conference
May 12, 2014
On May 20, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development’ (GFDD) Senior Management will join more than 600 development professionals representing the private sector, non-governmental organizations, think tanks, government agencies, multilateral institutions, and universities to actively engage together at the Society for International Development (SID) -Washington 2014 Annual Conference. The Conference entitled "Delivering Results in a Changing
World" is an important annual gathering of development practitioners who come together to share ideas on the future of international development.
Dr. Rajiv Shah, Administrator of United States Aid for International development (USAID), will deliver the keynote address at the conference, which will also feature interesting and informative sessions based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The program will also include two high-level plenary
discussions, giving members like GFDD a chance to participate in discussions with members of SID-Washington’ board and other leaders from the development community on pressing trends and topics.
Experts at the conference will summarize the day’ breakout panels in a moderated session to learn what themes prevailed, what lessons emerged, and what civil society might want to consider as we work together towards the post-2015 Agenda.
