On Sunday, February 3, 2019 the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) was present at the 4th Roundtable of the Coordinating Council for Dominicans Living Abroad (DORENEX) in the Yonkers neighborhood of New York City. The meeting was intended to bring Dominican organizations together to find opportunities for cooperation and partnership.

At the start of the event, the President of DORENEX, Francisco Cruz, gave opening remarks and a brief explanation of the meeting’s format.
In sessions of three minutes, each organization had the chance to give institutional presentations. During GFDD’s turn, Eusebio gave out some institutional brochures and briefly introduced GFDD as well as its various programs, including the Dominican Film Showcase, Dominican Get-Togethers and Model United Nations, among others.
Among the institutions present at the meeting were the Dominican Consulate in New York, Manos Unidas a la Obra, Arieto Cultural, Proyecto Renacer Voluntad Popular, Instituto Duartiano, Dominican Students Institute of CUNY, the Dominican Cultural Association of Yonkers and GAHLEP as well as many more.
