GFDD Gathered with Outstanding Dominicans at the Annual Gala of the Asociación de Veganos en USA, Celebrated in New York

Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) was present on Friday, November 7, 2014 at the annual gala of the Asociación de Veganos en USA (ASOVEUSA, by its Spanish acronym), an organization that also commemorated the 4th anniversary of its incorporation. The activity took place at the Malcolm X Shabazz Center, located on Broadway, New York.
GFDD is part of the collaborating institutions that supports the ASOVEUSA initiatives, since its inception. The Association, which has over 100 members, took the opportunity to recognize outstanding Dominicans from La Vega, both in the Dominican Republic and the United States. This year Engineer Euclides Sánchez, Dr. Manuel Galán (Bilo), Attorney Rosa
Ayala, Mr. Tenchy Rodríguez, Archbishop Antonio Camilo, and Father Luis Rogelio Cruz were awarded.
The Directors of the ASOVEUSA and the organizers of the event, acknowledged the presence of the public and GFDD’s staff because "without your support this event would not have been the great success it was”, they emphasized.
On behalf of GFDD Ms. Yamile Eusebio Paulino, Director of the New
York office congratulated, the President ofASOVEUSA, Mr. Ramón Burgos, and all its members for their tireless work with the Dominican community. She used the occasion to reiterate GFDD’s interest in supporting all initiatives that aim to keep the Dominican diaspora together and linked to its
roots.
The ASOVEUSA is a nonprofit organization that brings together the Dominican community from La Vega and represents them in the Dominican Republic and the United States.
