GFDD and FUNGLODE’s Global Media Arts Institute Offers Scholarships to Attend Film Courses at NYU

GFDD and FUNGLODE’s Global Media Arts Institute (GMAI), in collaboration with New York University’s Opportunity Programs and One Race Films, is offering five scholarships to students between the ages of 18 and 20, interested in the audiovisual arts and television and film production.
 
Selected
students will take six week-long film courses at New York University, from July 9 – August 19, 2008. Scholarship recipients must meet the 3.0 grade point average requirement, posses a valid US visa and have a strong command of English.

GMAI is dedicated to providing up-in-coming professionals in the television and film industry with
comprehensive instruction in the latest trends in audiovisual production, as part of its overall mission to expand the multimedia industry of the Dominican Republic. The Institute seeks to play a key role in the development of a highly qualified Dominican audiovisual industry that significantly contributes to the economic development, competitiveness and modernization of the nation.
