GFDD and FUNGLODE partner with City College of NY, on Photo Exhibit: Agriculture and People: Subsistence Practices of Hispaniola

GFDD and FUNGLODE, in association with City College of NY, Center for Worker Education, Division of Interdisciplinary Studies are partnering on a photo exhibit entitled “Agriculture and People Subsistence Practices of Hispaniola" showcasing works by Dominican conservation photographer, naturalist and illustrated-book producer, Eladio Fernandez.
Eladio joins us on October 3 at the exhibit’s inaugural reception, to discuss his most recent work highlighting Hispaniola’s lush and fertile landscapes. The exhibit is a traditional yet modern portrayal of rural Dominican Republic and the workers who live off the land harvesting sugar cane and other agro-products, while providing a colorful backdrop for Hispaniola’s rich agricultural legacy and environment.
The opening reception will take place on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 6:00 pm at the Division of Interdisciplinary Studies at the Center for Worker for Education/CCNY, 25 Broadway, 7th Floor New York, NY 10004.
The exhibit, free of charge, will be open to the public
from October 3-31, 2013 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily.
