GFDD and FUNGLODE Participate in Sixth GDLN LAC Annual Workshop

GFDD/FUNGLODE is participating in the sixth Annual Workshop of the GDLN Network of Latin America and the Caribbean. It is being held in San José, Costa Rica from July 10th – July 12th, 2006
Costa Rica
will be the meeting point of the collaborators from Latin America and the Caribbean of the Global Development Learning Network (GDLN) of the World Bank.
The GDLN-LAC Annual Workshop is used to provide a forum for the network’s partners to come together to discuss and establish new policies and agree on a work program and related roles and responsibilities for the next year, including any necessary working or technical groups.
The workshop activity seeks to determine how GDLN can be positioned as a supporting tool for the international community and national stakeholders to help advance national development agendas.
This activity aims to generate the following outcomes:
- An engagement strategy for national stakeholders.
- Organization and role of GDLN national affiliates.
- A donor engagement strategy.
- Indicators to measure success and impact of strategy.
- A press release communicating to the international community how they will address this development challenge.
- An effective use of technology
In this opportunity, Semiramis de Miranda, ICT Manager from GFDD and Yamile Eusebio,
Internships and Educational Projects Coordinator from GFDD/FUNGLODE will be the representatives of both institutions.
