GFDD and FUNGLODE Endorses Organization of American States (OAS) Scholarship Program Offering Opportunities for Master’s Studies in Brazil

The OAS Department of Human Development, Education and Culture has announced its new “OAS Scholarships Program – Coimbra Group of Brazilian Universities”, through which up to 50 scholarships are being offered for Master’s studies at Brazilian universities. GFDD and FUNGLODE are members of a community of NGOs that actively promote the objectives of the OAS and strongly encourage Dominican students to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Scholarship benefits include:

• Coverage of tuition expenses (the program costs)
• Monthly stipend for living expenses equivalent to 1,200 RS (approximately $740 USD)
• A one-time grant of
  $1,500 USD for travel and accommodation expenses to be disbursed when the student arrives at the University
• Benefits are valid for a maximum of up to 24 months
