The Confederation of NGOs (CoNGO), an organization in consultative relationship with the United Nations, held its annual Board Members Meeting at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) and the Palffy Palace in Vienna, Austria. GFDD was an active participant in the discussions, following a partnership between CoNGO and that organization established in 2015.

The Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF), a GFDD initiative, will celebrate the World Environment Day with a special screening of the film "Revolution", directed by Rob Stewart. The World Environment Day (June 5th, annually) is an environmental awareness day, run by the United Nations. DREFF/GFDD and UNIBE will take this opportunity to raise awareness of the environment and specific environmental issues. The film not only does sheds light on crucial environmental topics and how we can save the planet, but also shows how past world events have taught us what we need to do to save the future.
