Dr. Leonel Fernández Attends 11th Sol M. Linowitz Forum

July 5, 2017

Among an elite group of diplomats, current and ex-government officials, members of academia, journalists, and entrepreneurs, Dr. Leonel Fernández attended the 11th Sol M. Linowitz Forum, held from June 22nd to 24th in Washington, DC to provide valuable insight on a range of high-impact issues, such as opportunities for sustainable growth, current challenges to worldwide democracy, and US-Latin American relations in the Trump age. A member of the Inter-American Dialogue since
2001, Dr. Fernández has delivered keynote addresses and convened prominent thought leaders on topics of interest to the Dominican Republic and all of Latin America.

The Sol M. Linowitz Forum pays homage to Ambassador Linowitz, distinguished lawyer, businessman, diplomat, recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and Inter-American Dialogue founding chairman. Every two years, the forum assembles Dialogue members to address important issues affecting the Americas, and
produce a report containing policy recommendations to be disseminated throughout the hemisphere.

The Inter-American Dialogue has worked for more than three decades to engage its network of global leaders on issues impacting democracy, governance, prosperity, and social equity in Latin America and the Caribbean. Made up of more than 100 distinguished citizens of the Americas, the Dialogue is able to seamlessly conduct its work in cooperation with leading institutions from
around the world. It is based in Washington, DC.
