April 24, 2017
Global GFDD is pleased to announce that all books published by GFDD Fellows through the Research and Ideas Series are now available online for free download. Among the topics investigated by GFDD Fellows have been sustainable development in the Dominican Republic, relations and trade between the DR and the People’s Republic of China, and cognitive behavioral therapy as a way to treat Parkinson’s Disease, among many other interesting areas of
research.
Launched in 2009, the Fellows Program responds to the GFDD/Funglode desire to develop a community of scholars that contributes to the growing body of research on matters of international concern directly impacting the Dominican Republic. Fellows Program seeks to develop scholarship on issues at the forefront of the United Nations’ agenda in order to give voice to national and regional concerns and to offer viable solutions to domestic and global
challenges.
All products of GFDD Fellows are carried out through the GFDD series RESEARCH AND IDEAS, which includes research papers, articles, speeches and keynote addresses that discuss critical issues of the contemporary world from national, regional and global points of view. These selected works present scrupulous analysis, introduce innovative ideas and transmit inspiration. GFDD hopes they will contribute to a better understanding of the world, empowering
people to act in a more informed efficient and harmonious way.
