2011 Year in Review Now Available in Print and Electronic Format
April 4, 2012
Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) is pleased to announce the publication of its 2011 Year in Review in print and electronic format.
The publication, which features prologues by Honorary President, Dr.
Leonel Fernández, and Executive Director, Natasha Despotovic; descriptions of the Foundation’s projects and programs; photos; highlights and testimonials, celebrates the gains achieved by GFDD in 2011.
GFDD’s workshops, training sessions, seminars, conferences, get-togethers, film screenings, photo exhibits and academic programs have provided critical opportunities for information exchange and professional growth –
contributing to the advancement of labor force capacity by equipping the Dominican people with the knowledge and tools to actively impact the sustainable development of their country and their world.
In 2011, in addition to implementing an impressive agenda of work via its flagship programs, GFDD created four new initiatives: the Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF), Dominican Get-Togethers, the “GFD2011D Global Roundtable,”
and the Dominican Film Showcase. What is more, the impact of the Foundation’s programs spanned beyond the territorial borders of the Dominican Republic to reach Dominican communities and like-minded supporters abroad.
The acheivements of 2011 could not have been possible without the support of the Foundation’s extensive network of partners and collaborators, whose expertise and capacity has contributed to strengthing our initiatives.
We invite you to take a look at our publication and learn more about our programs and projects.
