GFDD and FUNGLODE Invite Viewers to Contemporary Arab Film Series at Dominican Cinematheque

Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) invite viewers this Friday, February 19th, to attend the film series “Urban Cartography: The City in Contemporary Arab Film,” organized in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, the Dominican Cinematheque and the Arab House.   

The Global Media Arts Institute and the Dominican Republic Global Film Festival promote the projection of these six films — one each day, beginning on Friday, February 19th through Thursday, February 25th.

The films to be shown are: “Waiting for Happiness,” “Chronicle of a Disappearance,” “The Chaos?” “Viva Algeria, ““Falafel” and
“WWW.What a Wonderful World.”
 
Organizers of the film series invite all film lovers to come and enjoy the movies and experience how the film industry has evolved in the contemporary Arab world.

The Global Media Arts Institute and the Dominican Republic Global Film Festival, initiatives of GFDD and FUNGLODE, support the screening of these films as part of their mission to promote knowledge about
the art of film in the Dominican Republic.
