InteRDom Will Hold Information Session at Johns Hopkins University to Increase Awareness of Internship Opportunities Available in the Dominican Republic

InteRDom will hold an information session at the Career Services Department of the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University on February 10, 2009.

InteRDom seeks to inform students interested in carrying-out projects in the areas of economic and social development, multimedia arts and intercultural communication about the internship
opportunities available through the program. During the information session, students will meet with InteRDom representatives, view a brief presentation and video about the program and have the opportunity to inquire about the internship offerings for the 2009 Summer Semester. Interested students will be able to submit their resumes and fill-out application forms for the Program during the session, as well as discuss research projects ideas with InteRDom team members.

As
part of their academic program, all students of the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University realize academic work abroad. InteRDom hopes that through learning more about the diverse internships available through the Program, more students will be inspired to carry-out projects and research in the Dominican Republic.

The InteRDom team will be in Washington, DC from February 10 – 13 to meet with faculty, staff and students at area

InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), offers students the opportunity to gain professional experience by interning with Dominican organizations and businesses related to their field of study.

The Program fosters and promotes the professional, academic, scientific, technological and cultural exchange of students and professionals in public, private and non-profit organizations of the Dominican Republic. It significantly contributes to the development of
the nation’s employment sector and the advancement of academic research, while providing spaces for personal and professional growth, internationalization and multicultural understanding.
