GMAI and Daytona State College Offer 2-D Animation Class

The Global Media Arts Institute (GMAI), an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), in association with Daytona State College, will offer a class on 2-D Animation. The class will take place December 15 – 19, 2008, from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm at FUNGLODE Headquarters.
The goal of the course is to provide participants with an introduction to the concept and techniques of 2-D animation utilizing traditional methods and software applications. Students will learn about the basics of moving images, the creation of storyboards, scriptwriting, surface and track lines. Class instruction will be provided by Bart Christner, Professor of

GMAI regularly offers introductory, intermediate and advanced courses. It also organizes events that promote greater understanding of the media arts, such as conferences, screenings and interviews with filmmakers.
