Second Dominican Global Film Festival Begins Volunteer Recruitment

The selection process for volunteers to help with the organization and development of the Dominican Global Film Festival will get underway on Monday, October 27, in order to prepare for the Festival, which will take place November 19-23, 2008. Meetings with those wishing to join the Festival Volunteer Staff will be held in the five cities hosting the festival: Santo Domingo, Santiago, Puerto Plata, Higüey and Nagua.
The first meeting will take
place at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27 at FUNGLODE Headquarters in Santo Domingo.
Wednesday´s meeting will be held in Santiago, also at 6:00 p.m. in the CURSA-UASD auditorium.
In Higüey, on Thursday October 29, the meeting will take place at the CURSA-UASD Auditorium. The meeting in Nagua will be held on Thursday, November 7 at 10:00 a.m. at UASD Auditorium.
The meeting in Puerto Plata, also to be
held on November 7 at 6:00 p.m., will be held at the CURSA-UASD Auditorium.
During each of the meetings, organizers and staff members will meet with potential festival volunteers to proceed with the selection process in each of the cities.
Those wishing to volunteer will be able to choose among seven roles: Theater Usher; General Support; Hotel Assistant (stationed in the hotel); FUNGLODE Assistant; Press Support; Usher at Panel Discussions; Logistic
Support; and Event Organization.
