GFDD and FUNGLODE’s Global Media Arts Institute Presents Workshop on Adobe After Effects

The Global Media Arts Institute (GMAI), an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLDOE), will present the workshop, “Adobe After Effects.” The
course is designed to provide participants with advance instruction in the areas of effects, postproduction, advanced tools and expressions. Students should have prior knowledge of Adobe After Effects.

Classes will take place Monday through Saturday, from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, at FUNGLODE Headquarters in Santo Domingo,

Course instruction will be provided by Professor Jorge Mochón. Mochón has degrees in Photography and Audiovisual Imaging and Postproduction and Promotion. He has taught courses at a number of educational institutions, among them: Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV (EICTV –
International School of Film and Television) (Cuba), Universidad Cardenal Herrera (Spain), Escuela Politécnica Superior de Gandía (Higher Polytechnic School of Gandía) (Spain) and Universitat Jaume Primer (Spain).

GMAI is dedicated to providing up-and-coming professionals in the television and film
industry with comprehensive instruction in the latest trends in audiovisual production, as part of its overall mission to expand the multimedia industry of the Dominican Republic. The Institute seeks to play a key role in the development of a highly qualified Dominican audiovisual industry that significantly contributes to the economic development, competitiveness and modernization of the nation.

GMAI regularly offers introductory, intermediate and advanced courses. It also organizes events that promote greater understanding of the media arts, such as conferences, screenings and interviews with filmmakers.
