GMAI Presents Workshop on Directing the Actor

GFDD and FUNGLODE’s Global Media Arts Institute (GMAI) will be offering an innovative workshop on the Stanislavsky system of acting. “Directing the Actor” will emphasize the exploration of human emotions. The workshop will take place March 3-7, 2008, from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm, at FUNGLODE Headquarters in Santo Domingo.

 

“Directing the Actor” is targeted towards students studying directing in the areas of film, aesthetic arts and audiovisual communications, directors of soap operas and television series, and professional actors with experience in film, television and/or theater. Course instruction will be provided by Corina Mestre.

 

GMAI is dedicated to providing up-in-coming
professionals in the television and film industry with comprehensive instruction in the latest trends in audiovisual production, as part of its overall mission to expand the multimedia industry of the Dominican Republic. The Institute seeks to play a key role in the development of a highly qualified Dominican audiovisual industry that significantly contributes to the economic development, competitiveness and modernization of the nation.

 

The cost of the program is RD$8,500.00 per person. There is a workshop limit of 20 participants.
