Celebration of 2007 GFDD and FUNGLODE Awards Ceremony

On January 29, 2007, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) will hold an awards ceremony commemorate the winners of the GFDD and FUNGLODE Awards in the categories of: Photography, Short Film, Documentary Film, Short Story, Poetry, Essay and Journalism.
The ceremony will include a performance by the string group, Gran
Duet, as well as choreography Carlos Veitía and Elvis Guzmán. The program will also feature the screening of one of the short films chosen for the awards. All invited guests are required to present invitations.

A total of 583 entries were submitted: 113 poems, 354 short stories, 29 short films, 48 features and reports, 16 documentaries and 7 essays.
The winners selected for the following categories were announced October 9th of the previous year.
