GFDD Officially Starts the Holiday Season

November 30, 2017

With an arts and crafts bazaar held at its Washington, DC office, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) officially started the 2017 holiday season. The event was celebrated in collaboration with the Embassy of the Dominican Republic to the United States, and provided an opportunity for the Washington community and friends of the Foundation to enjoy traditional Dominican music while being able to buy local gifts for their loved ones.

Alongside handmade Dominican artisanal goods, the popular Dominican ‘ponche’ (eggnog) in a variety of flavors, Christmas fruit cakes, tropical fruit sweets, and
high-quality Dominican rums were available in the bazaar.

Additionally, a number of GFDD publications such as the celebrated Dominican Republic: New Perspectives and All Things Dominican were showcased and offered for sale.
