GFDD Joins the Embassy of the Dominican Republic to Celebrate USPS Annual Multicultural Day

GFDD, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in the United States, was present yesterday at USPS event “Passport to Diversity”, the Annual Multicultural Awareness Day in which the U.S. postal services “celebrates the many cultures we represent”.

The event highlighted the diverse experiences and cultures of postal employees through literature, artifacts, food, music and demonstrations. GFDD and
the Dominican Embassy were part of the 20 exhibitors who attended the fair, with the aim of strengthening the country’s cultural identity.  GFDD promoted its programs and projects, as well as its publications related to the Dominican Republic.

About 600 people attended the event that took place at USPS Headquarters in the nation’s capital, and an interested audience approached the Dominican stand taking with them all the promotional materials
exhibited.
