Promoting Dominican Culture at the Passport DC

GFDD and Funglode will be again be partnering with the Embassy of the Dominican Republic to participate in the annual Passport D.C.- Around the World Embassy Tour program on May 2, 2015. The Embassy of the Dominican Republic will open their doors to thousands of D.C. visitors and residents for this event. As in previous years, GFDD and Funglode will present their many programs promoting sustainability and the environment,technology, education,
cultural heritage, and internships and scholarships.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the many different projects and initiatives run by the GFDD and Funglode including the Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF), InteRDom, the Global Dominican Academic Exchange, the Fellows Program, and the Collaboration with the UN.
This yearly event sees over fifty different embassies in the district opening themselves to the public to showcase their cultural programs, foods, songs, and goods, among other things. The Passport D.C. program lasts throughout the month of May and includes
international street festivals and cultural performances in addition to the Embassy Tour. All activities are free and open to the public.
