GFDD Announces Third Annual Golf Tournament

On Tuesday, October 1, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) will hold its Third GFDD Golf Tournament, celebrated at the historic Fresh Meadow Country Club, located in Lake Success, Long Island, NY.

The event, which has become a GFDD tradition, will feature the participation of some 100 players and the special attendance of former President of the Dominican Republic and honorary President of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development
(GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), Dr. Leonel Fernández.

Guests who sign up for the day’s events will enjoy a welcome breakfast before hitting the course for the official start of the tournament. 2013 GFDD Golf Tournament participants  will have a day of playing on the picturesque grounds of the Fresh Meadow Country Club, famous for its forested terrain, elevated
tees and spectacular vistas.

After an afternoon on the course, GFDD supporters will then head indoors for a cocktail soirée and raffle presided over by GFDD Executive Director, Natasha Despotovic. Attendees will be awarded with GFDD publications, commemorative autographed photographs of Juan Marichal, golf equipment and apparel and other gifts provided by our contributors.

The day-long festivities concluded with a dinner banquet reception and awards
ceremony officiated by GFDD Executive Director and feature the participation of GFDD honorary President Leonel Fernández.
