UNA-DR, in Association with FUNGLODE and GFDD Announce Winner of 5th Dominican Youth Delegate to UN Program

Dr. Richard Bidó Medina was selected to be the 5th Dominican Youth Delegate to the UN, as announced on Sept 6 by Executive Director of UNA-DR Mr. Emil Chireno who stressed the importance of these types of initiatives for young Dominicans to gain knowledge, development opportunities and bolster the DR’s reputation.

Resident Coordinator of the United Nations System and Permanent Representative of the United Nations Program for Development
(UNDP), Mr. Lorenzo Jiménez de Luis, highlighted the importance of the tools provided by the program. Mr. Isaac Vásquez described his experience as UN representative and urged candidates to work hard and seize this unique opportunity.

Dr. Bidó Medina will attend the Third Committee of the General Assembly: Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Affairs at the UN in New York this coming October.
