GFDD Establishes Non-Profit Vendor Status in the State of New York

February 22, 2013

GFDD is pleased to announce that after the successful completion of the Vendor Enrolment Application with the City of New York, it has been duly registered in the NYC-FMS Vendor Enrolment Center and added to the New York City’s Bidders’ lists.

The Mayor’s Office recognizes that NGOs provide vital services to New York City residents and have a positive impact on the lives of all New Yorkers whether through art and music,
education, hospitals or day care for homeless. The many services that this sector provides with public and private funding make communities stronger and more resilient.

From now on, GFDD will be able to reach out to all 42 Mayoral agencies, the Comptroller, the Board of Education and several Non-Mayoral agencies in order to sell products in support of its activities and programs. Particularly, the organization will be now entitled to promote the Dominican Republic through
its publications and events collaborating with the New York schools, colleges, businesses and other institutions. It heralds an important step forward in communicating its mission to the New York City community and establishing even tighter relationships between the communities it serves in the United States and in Latin America.
