Honorary President of GFDD, Dr. Leonel Fernández’s Publications Available on Amazon

Two special books authored by GFDD Founder and Honorary President, Dr. Leonel Fernández are now available for sale online via Amazon. Published by FUNGLODE, the books; Años de formación, escritos políticos de vanguardia and  El delito de opinión pública: censura, ideología y libertad de expresión, were both penned prior to his Presidency of the Dominican Republic, and have been
further revised and updated.
 
1) Años de formación, escritos políticos de
vanguardia

This 300 page, 9 x 6 paperback  explores Dr. Fernández first political awakenings and reflections. Many
of these ideas were initially exposed through the People’s Vanguard newspaper, mouthpiece of the Party of the Dominican Liberation (PLD for its name in Spanish), in which he worked as editor on the international section for several years. It is a comprehensive mosaic of ideas depicting the spirit of an era, the seventies, from the perspective of a young, restless radical, with an unusual maturity and curiosity, opening up into a world undergoing profound change.

After more than three decades, Dr. Fernández , updates and expands the first edition of his thesis at the Department of Law at Autonomous
University of Santo Domingo (UASD). The second edition of the book, published in 2011 by FUGLODE and comprising 312 pages, is an effort to systematize, from a sociological and legal point of view, the role of ideology and the right to information.
 
The books, which are currently only available in Spanish, have been sold on a limited basis at GFDD and FUNGLODE events. Exposure on Amazon will
