7 Grams, Winner of 2015 Globo Verde Dominicano Award, Screens in Trinidad and Tobago

On November 6, 2016 the short film 7 Grams was screened at The Botanical Gardens of Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, as part of the sixth edition of Green Screen T&T, the country’s environmental film festival hosted by Sustain T&T.

Directed by Jonatán Vila and Hadzael Gómez, 7 Grams is a Dominican short film that tells the story of a Hispaniolan Emerald, one of the
world’s smallest birds, who builds its nest in a construction site and presents how a rural community in the Dominican Republic faces tough decisions about conservation. The film was the winner of Globo Verde Dominicano Award in 2015, as part of the Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF)’s fifth edition. After winning the prize, 7 Grams has been screened several times around the world with great success.
