14th OAS Lecture Series of the Americas at FUNGLODE

The “Lecture Series of the Americas” is an initiative that the Organization of American States (OAS) has been celebrating for a year and two months now, with distinguished international guests.  The 14th lecture will be transmitted August 10th, 2006 in the FUNGLODE auditorium in Santo
Domingo, Dominican Republic.

In this opportunity we will have the participation of Nicholas Negroponte, founder and president of the “One laptop per child” Foundation, co-founder and past Director of the Multimedia Library of the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology (MIT). Mr. Negroponte will present the “One laptop per child” initiative.
